DID YOU KNOW? AFTER THE VOWS... •72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment. •Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment. •During wedding planning, Brides say their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer - reception entertainment is among the least of their priorities. Within one week after their reception, 78% of Brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority! •When asked 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment. •65% of all couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding, said, if they had it to do over again, they would have chosen a disc jockey.

A Professional DJ will normally invest 12 to 30 hours to prepare for a 4 hour gig.
1. Know Your Worth!
Clients hire a DJ based on our talent,
experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment
needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality.
So when they hire you they get a, DJ, MC, Soundtech, Event Coordinator, Mixing Engineer, Music Consultant and Host!

2.  Punctuality Is Key. Real Time vs REAL TIME
A DJ's must arrive at least one hour prior to the starting time
of the event. You should be setup and
in-place before their first guest walks through the door.

3. Get your paperwork in order.
It is extremely important to have your booking confirmed in writing. Have a written agreement(DJ Contract), especially if you are locking a date for client. As a standard get a deposit before you do the gig.

4. Get INSURANCE!
You are in business now. Many responsible business owners carry liability insurance to protect their businesses and the consumer. So why not you? Equipment cost money and you want to protect your investment.

5. Practice your mixes!
Know your music library like your life depends on it.
Because at the end of the day, IT DOES!
When you know your music, life is so much easier
for you and the client. You will be prepared to flow in as you need to.
